atueniMrs. Atuweni Juwayeyi Phiri
Director & Chair of the Board

Atuweni-tupochile is the Legal and Policy Advisor for the Malawi Financial Intelligence Unit, In Malawi. She has been involved with Ministry of Hope since 2005, and also serves on boards of various community and faith-based organizations. Through her involvement with Ministry of Hope, Atuweni-tupochile and her husband Dan, fostered and later adopted a seven-day-old baby girl in April 2008.

Deputy Board Chair
Mr. Kamanga is a health expert with more than 10 years experience. He has worked in various positions as HIV/AIDS Coordinator (Umoyo Network Program-Save the Children US) as a Clinician/head of Bwaila Hospital maternity wing, Research and STI Clinical Services Manager at University of North Carolina Project at Kamuzu Central Hospital in Lilongwe and Clinician of the Sexually Transmitted Infections Department, UNC Project/Kamuzu Central Hospital. "I was approached to join Ministry of Hope because of my passion and concern for the vulnerable, underprivileged and also for my Public Health/medical background.

ezekialMr. Ezikiel Phiri
Director, Treasurer
Mr. Phiri is a banking and finance specialist and is Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee. As an elder in his Lilongwe church he has organized Bible teaching and discipleship programs in rural churches.

kachipapaRev. Vasco Kachipapa
Vasco Kachipapa Banda is a pastor of the Church of Central African Presbyterian (CCAP), Nkhoma Synod. He is currently serving a church in the city of Lilongwe, M'buka Congregation and is also serving as the moderator of CCAP Nkhoma Synod for the second term. He is married to Madalitso and they have three children; two girls and a boy. "Having served God as a youth pastor for five years, I developed a strong interest in youth and children. I found out that many problems faced by youth start in their childhood. I am happy to be part of Ministry of Hope because I consider it as God's calling to serve Him in a field I am familiar with, and that by His grace I will be able to contribute something valuable and meaningful to His glory.

Mrs. Magaba is an economist with the reserve bank and is a member of the Finance and Audit Committee.

mpungaMr. A. Mpunga

Mr. Mpunga is retired from the Ministry for women and child development and is a member of the Staff Development Committee.

Mr. Gerald Khonje

Mr. Khonje is a civil engineer and architect and he is Chair of the Building and Construction Committee.
