MoH Meeting in the UK discusses opportunities for joint ministry

Ministry of Hope US Chairman Rex Hoffman, along with his family, visited Bradford, UK during June to meet with MoH supporters Richard and Kathryn Jones, pictured at right with their two children Molly and Owen.

The meeting was held to strengthen ties between the ministry and believers in England. Richard and Kathryn visited Malawi several years ago and worked as volunteers in several feeding centers.  At the time Richard's father was an instructor at African Bible College in Lilongwe, Malawi. Upon their return to the UK they urged their church,  Moorside Church, to get involved with the ministry, and they have been active supporters ever since.

The meeting was meant to brainstorm ways to increase awareness of MoH in the UK and to create a stronger sense of joint ministry between MoH Malawi and the congregation at Moorside. Pastor Phil Gibson invited Hoffman to speak before the church about what the Lord has done in his life and the life of his family through the work of the ministry. Richard, who is an elder at Moorside, expessed a desire to organize a short-term mission group from the church to visit Malawi sometime in the near future.

"I've seen firsthand in my own family how a visit to Malawi can change people's lives and impact the work of the ministry,” said Hoffman. “"Ministry of Hope is an international effort and having a group from the UK visit would reinforce that vision."
