Volunteer programs

Ministry of Hope is dedicated to sustaining hope, help and a future for orphans in Malawi through a number of life-giving programs. You or your group can assist in this effort in any number of ways.

What you can do in Malawi:
Construction
Teaching
Preaching
Medical & Nursing
Administration
Staff Support
VBS
Vocational Training
Tutoring
Mentoring
Discipling
Nursery Care
Logistical support

What to expect while in Malawi:

Individuals (18 and older, unless accompanied by an adult) and groups are encouraged to serve with Ministry of Hope. Volunteers are required to pay for trip costs including airfare, room & board and in-country transportation. Information will be provided concerning passports, vaccinations and Malawian culture.

Village lodging typically does not include running water or electricity. City lodging offers both of these amenities. How you spend your days can vary greatly depending on the purpose and mission of your group. However, you will have frequent opportunities to interact with the orphans.

APPLICATION DEADLINE
Summer is a great time to volunteer with Ministry of Hope in Malawi, and we welcome and appreciate all those who wish to serve the ministry in this way. However, in order to adequately prepare for your trip, we need to have plenty of time to process your application. After April 1 we will only be accepting applications for trips that plan to go after September 1, 2008.
