Ministry of Hope's most significant expenses are the recurring monthly cost of running community centers, funding educational scholarships, and operating crisis nurseries.
We prioritize our philanthropic efforts by keeping administrative costs to a minimum, accounting for less than five percent of Ministry of Hope's total budget. The majority of funds go directly to aid Malawian orphans. One of the best ways to help is through donations that provide for the orphans needs on a monthly basis. Please help us meet the most urgent needs by allowing us to use your gift "where needed most." Ministry of Hope is a 501(c)3 organization and all donations are tax deductible.
COMMUNITY CENTER SPONSORSHIP
$2,500 monthly
Community Center Sponsorship covers a director's salary as well as the purchase of food, supplies, and transportation for one community center location. This is one of the largest items in the ministry's annual budget.
EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP
$30 monthly
There is no free education in Malawi after the 8th grade. Donations to the Scholarship Fund cover the monthly costs of tuition and books in full, giving orphans a chance at a better future.
CRISIS NURSERY SPONSORSHIP
$200 monthly
The Crisis Nursery cares for an average of 20 babies each month at a cost of approximately $200 per month per child. Donations cover the monthly costs of baby formula, diapers, and staff salaries.
MOBILE MEDICAL CLINIC FUNDING
$1,000
Donations of $1,000 cover the cost to conduct one medical clinic in a single village, serving approximately 300 people. This includes transportation, hiring clinicians and nurses, medicine, and testing equipment.

One of the most meaningful ways you or your church can connect with the children of Ministry of Hope is to participate in our Volunteer Program.
The ministry welcomes short-term mission trips of individuals and groups from abroad. Here are just a few ways that you can work to support Ministry of Hope:

Vacation Bible School
A stay of 10-14 days allows a group time to get to know the children and make visits to several village community centers. For individuals, we recommend a minimum 2-week stay to become integrated into village life and have a meaningful experience.
Malawi offers a variety of natural sites for group excursions, including Lake Malawi and Liwonde National Park, granting groups the opportunity to engage in reflection or debriefing.
